My name is Richard Baughan and I am a Senior Accredited Registered Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have more than 25 years experience of providing professional and effective counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples and groups in private practice, Universities and other arenas.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space where you can explore issues, develop understanding and make changes affecting your life and relationships.
In addition to seeing clients at home I also currently counsel and supervise at the Norwich Centre and supervise for BEAT [Beating Eating Disorders] and RAPt [Rehabilitation of Addicted Prisoners Trust].
Counselling / psychotherapy offers an opportunity to explore your life with someone trained and experienced in facilitating people in their search for more satisfying ways of living.
Issues include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, couple counselling, divorce and separation, abuse, low self-esteem, stress, bereavement, self-harm, loneliness, suicidal feelings, separation anxiety, eating disorders, ocd, anger management, addiction, work issues, lack of motivation etc.
Sometimes it is difficult to know what is troubling one and talking things through in a confidential setting can help clarify matters.
My work is informed and supported by some 25 year study and practice of mindfulness and meditation.
I offer both short and long term work and have had the opportunity to work with clients of all ages, with a wide range of presenting problems and from a wide variety of backgrounds and nationalities.
I also offer counselling and supervision via Skype
I have a particular interest in the misuse and abuse of power, and respect for the rights and authority of the client is paramount in my work.
