About me

Counselling can offer you a space to pause, an oasis where you can feel held, safe to share whatever it is you are feeling at this moment. Together we can explore, in confidence, your individual and unique life experiences.

Our sessions will focus on your needs and what feels most important to you. Our journey together can help you gain a clearer understanding of your life experiences and the choices available to you, discovering new ways to move forwards. You are the expert in your own life and together we can work on discovering the answers you seek.

I understand that seeking out and asking for help may have felt daunting and you may feel anxious about contacting me. I would like to reassure you that it is my aim to help you feel comfortable and at ease and I believe that the relationship we build together is central to your journey and our work together.

Our first session will last 50 minutes and you can then decide, after experiencing our time together, if you wish to continue with counselling and whether I am the right person to be of help to you. We would then normally meet weekly, and initially for six weeks before we review. It is also possible to have longer term counselling, and this is something we can discuss together as we go along.

You are very welcome to contact me by phone or email. Sometimes I am unable to answer my phone immediately but please leave me a short message with your name and the best number to contact you on and I will endeavour to return your call as soon as possible.
