About me

Hello and welcome,

You will want to know how I can help you...

I can help you find your voice. I can help you put into words how you feel.

I can help you find your way to become a calmer, happier YOU.

The YOU who enjoys life, who can appreciate the little things, who can cope.

I can especially help autistic and neurodivergent individuals through personal experience and extra qualifications.

What do I do?

  • I can help you change your irrational, negative thinking into positive thoughts.
  • I can help you accept yourself for who you really are.
  • I can help autistic individuals, you, find your place in a non-autistic world.
  • I can help you uncover your amazing qualities.
  • I can help you find your voice.
  • I can help encourage you to develop your own coping strategies.

Counselling can help you. There's no magic wand to make things better, but I can help you see things from different perspectives, and help you deal better with future events.

Why choose me as your counsellor?

I have a BA (Hons) degree in Counselling and a post-graduate certificate in autism and Asperger's. I have studied many different models of therapy making me able to tailor your therapy to best suit you.

But what does that actually mean for you?

It means that I am trained to a high level and registered by a professional body so you know that the work I do is ethically sound. I always have the clients best interest at the centre of my work.

In short, this translates into being able to tailor YOUR therapy to YOU and YOUR needs.

Areas of experience

  • Autism/Asperger's syndrome
  • depression
  • stress
  • anxiety
  • low self-esteem
  • bereavement
  • bullying
  • health conditions
  • family issues

As an autistic individual myself, I specialise in working with autistic clients and their family members. I have experience within this area working for specialised charities in the Greater Manchester and Lancashire area providing specific counselling for this clientele, as well as in private practice and have a deep understanding of the challenges and obstacles, as well as the qualities and strengths present for these individuals.
