Rachel Harling RN, MNCS (Senior Accredited)
Wyre Forest House
I have over 20 years experience providing therapeutic support to children, young people, adults and families in the NHS and in my own private practice.
As a Senior Accredited Counsellor, I have undergone extensive training, receiving excellent supervision and consultation from experts in the field. This, and the direct experience of working with young people, adults and families over many years has enabled me to build a very deep understanding of how to nurture and maintain a healthy mind.
When we find ourselves thinking or behaving in a way that interferes with our happiness in life, it can sometimes be difficult to understand what’s going on and to know how best to make improvements. Using a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to suit you, I can offer effective ways to help you feel happier by enabling you to develop a greater understanding of your thoughts, your feelings and your behaviour.
Typically, I work with individuals with difficulties such as: anxiety and panic, depression, low self-esteem and stress. I am a specialist in child and adolescent mental health and eating disorders across the age range. I support families / relationships and offer parent counselling. I provide supervision and consultancy to colleagues and teach on a regular basis.
I set very high standards for my practice and settle for nothing less than that that I would wish for myself and those I care about. In line with my professional code of practice, I receive excellent supervision on a regular basis to ensure that the quality of my work is maintained and complies fully with the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
To help you decide if I am the right person for you and can help you with what you need, please call. I am very well-connected to a number of counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists, all of whom are specialists in different fields. So, if I am unable to help, I can recommend somebody who can.
