I offer therapeutic counselling, psychotherapy, supervision and training within travelling distance of Rhos, Colwyn Bay, Rhyl, Llandudno, Bangor and surrounding areas. I also work from the Affinity Centre in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
I am a fully qualified and experienced therapist, accredited with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a full registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am a BUPA Approved Provider.
There are many reasons why you might want to enter into therapy and I can assist you with many issues. For example, bereavement, grief and loss, sexuality, depression, addictions, phobias, anxiety, sexual abuse, physical abuse, reparenting, relationship issues, illness, infertility and loss of meaning. This isn't a definitive list so please contact me if you feel your issue doesn't fit into the above categories.
I offer short term and long term therapy.
I have extensive experience of working with issues around sexuality and gender, this includes coming out, relational difficulties, gender and sexual roles and gender dysphoria/gender reassignment.
I also have particular experience of working with infertility, offering individuals or couples support through diagnosis, treatment and beyond. This includes support for those undergoing assisted conception techniques including IVF, pregnancy and also for women and couples who have miscarried or lost a child at birth.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (PTSTA) as well as a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA) and accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP) This means I am fully qualified to BACP's exacting standards and I have extensive experience working with clients over a number of years.
I am a registered member of the United Kingdom Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA) who are a member organisation of the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP), as well as a member of the International Association for Transactional Analysis.
I am also a member of British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA).
I have additional qualifications in hypnotherapy, play therapy, life coaching and substance misuse as well as specialist training in infertility, self harm, therapeutic work with children, domestic violence and mental health.
