Prof James Barnes

I offer remote counselling and executive coaching to adults. I have 25 years experience of working in the field of personal development and offer a safe and confidential service. I work with a wide variety of psychological distress, but also engage clients with how they want to live their lives in the future.  I work with clients in a therapeutic coaching framework to ensure long-term, sustained behavioural change. I specialise in on-line consultations with men who sometimes face challenges unique to their gender. The term “men’s issues” can be applied to a wide range of concerns that a man might face, including male-specific health problems, body image problems, stress, or performance issues at work.

If we work together I suggest we plan a series of session to create lasting change, if you are not committed to change and growth over an extended period of time results will not be sustainable. I always invite new client to a free online 30 mins chat before we start any coaching or therapy to ensure compatibility.

Credibility wise, I am a qualified counsellor and a Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS) and the The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I have been a psychological coach working with individuals for 25 years as well as being an active researcher in the field of Psychology, which at present has culminated in 2 Books, 15 book chapters and over 50 peer reviewed articles.

I am very reluctant to offer single sessions hourly rates as behavioural change is non sustainable in a regular commitment is not made by a client. Please contact me for the packages.
