Profile
If you are considering starting a family, expecting a baby, new to parenting or an experienced parent, some of the experiences and changes associated with pregnancy, birth and parenthood can be unexpected, challenging and even frightening.
The Pregnancy and Parents Centre offers a wide range of activities for expectant parents and parents of babies and young children in Edinburgh, including a psychotherapy and counselling service.
Counselling and psychotherapy is provided by Jenny Newland - UKCP registered psychotherapist and counsellor and former midwife.
Jenny welcomes anyone who is experiencing concerns, anxieties or distress of any kind - individuals or couples, parents, expectant parents and those considering starting a family.
The centre offers one-off consultations as well as short and longer term work.
Our aim is to respond flexibly to the needs of those who seek help.
Jenny's approach is respectful, forward looking, optimistic and creative. She can meet with you in a comfortable, confidential setting to explore your needs and possible ways of moving forward.
