Hi, I’m Hannah. I am a fully trained counsellor who works Integratively. This means I use a range of approaches to tailor the counselling process to each unique client.

I believe that counselling should always be client lead, enabling you to work at your own pace in a safe environment. I have experience in working with a wide variety of issues through volunteering for charities such as Jigsaw Counselling Service and Womens Aid. As a member of the BACP I adhere to their ethical framework.

My Qualifications – NCFE Diploma (Level 4) in counselling. NCFE Level 3 in counselling skills and theory. NCFE Level2 in counselling skills. Place2be Foundation in counselling children. Safeguarding children & domestic abuse Level2. I have also had training for working with clients with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, bereavement, self harm, risk assessment, relationship issues/couples, self esteem, suicide.

Life is a difficult journey and sometimes it effects our wellbeing and ability to enjoy the journey.  This is where talking to some-one who is trained to understand you in an individual and non-judgemental way can help you to get  back on track.

Karen Humphries

counsellor KarenHi, my name is Karen and I have been Counselling for three years. I work for Mind Mental Health charity.  Mind provides a counselling service called “Jigsaw Counselling Services” where I am currently still volunteering.  I’ve been counselling there since April 2009 .

I enjoy working as a counsellor . My main objective is to provide the best services I can for the client’s needs. I work using an eclectic approach.  This just means I don’t work with one theory.  I may use different approaches to suit the client.  My approach to counselling is underpinned by person-centred counselling.  I believe that each person has the ability to move in the direction of a more fulfilling and satisfying way of being and living their lives.

The essential qualities I provide create a confidential, safe supportive and challenging therapeutic environment.  They include a deep acceptance of the person, a desire to understand that person and to listen.   I also have a commitment to being genuine in the relationship where you are free to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

My aim as a counsellor is to work alongside you and help make sense of any circumstances.  If you wish to make a change in your life, I can help guide you through any difficult times. I will help you identify the choices for change. I don’t give advice, but I do help with any decision making.  We will work on any issues, thoughts and behaviours that are holding you back and are difficult for you to release on your own,  such as depression, bereavement, anxiety, low self esteem , low confidence and any other issues .

Over the past three years I’ve worked mainly with clients suffering from depression, anxiety,  postnatal depression,  general anxiety, bereavement, physical and emotional abuse and obsessive compulsive disorder.

Understanding suicide, working with bi-polar, post traumatic stress, cognitive behavioural therapy, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, couples therapy, anger and conflict, bereavement.

EFT Angelita Woosnam

E.F.T Holistic Therapy

What’s holding you back? What’s stopping you from succeeding or having the life that you would like? Using EFT we can tap into it (literally) quickly and easily, begin to clear it and move on!

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is often described as acupuncture without needles. Using gentle tapping on the energy meridian points on the body, it is possible to release stress and tension from the body quickly and easily. Negative emotions cause a disruption in the energy flow of our bodies and tapping on these points can act as a “reset” for us and allow the energy to flow again.

This amazing therapy can be used for just about anything. Pain can be managed, fears and phobias lessened or even removed.

I believe that traumas (big ones or little ones) are held in the body and can cause us pain and/or diseases. Even if the thought of dealing with past issues is traumatic it is possible, with EFT, to reduce the intensity and clear the energy blockages that exist and be pain-free, fear-free and ultimately HAPPIER.
