46 Theobolds Road
I'm a registered and accredited counsellor, I work face to face and by telephone, currently working within the NHS, Primary Care service. I have experience working with both men and women in a variety of healthcare and community-based settings. I come from a background of helping men with relationship issues and child contact problems and I am aware how men and women sometimes have different needs, goals and ways of working with a counsellor.
I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help and I aim to create a safe, confidential space for you to discuss whatever is on your mind. I see myself as being typically down-to-earth and practical in my approach and clients have described me as a solid, non-judgemental and accepting person.
My approach to counselling
I use an integrative approach which uses different counselling methods, including Person-centred and Psychodynamic approaches and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), tailored to suit your situation.
My experience suggests that some breakthroughs can be achieved in a relatively short time but am happy to arrange short or longer term work, depending on what seems best for you.
If you would like to find out more, please feel free to phone or email me to discuss your situation. I treat all enquiries confidentially and will respect your privacy and return calls at a convenient time.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a BA degree in Counselling from Greenwich University, a Foundation degree in Integrative Counselling and a Certificate in counselling skills.
I hold professional indemnity insurance as a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and I work in line with their professional and ethical standards.
