About me

I am a well-qualified Psychotherapist, working with adolescents and adults. I have 28 years’ experience of working therapeutically with children, young people and families, 19 of these in the National Health Service's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).I have worked work with adult clients for 10 years within my private practice, initially I worked from a psychoanalytic perspective, qualifying as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in 2020.

I have a small private practice which I operate from a comfortable therapeutic space in the Claines / Barbourne area of Worcester. There is plenty of parking.

I work with a wide range of social and emotional difficulties which include low mood and depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harm, stress, bipolar disorder, bereavement, relationship problems and low confidence. I also work with difficulties with behaviour including sleep problems, self harming, aggressive and difficult behaviour and eating difficulties.

I offer short term psychotherapy as well as longer more intensive treatment. I work from a psychoanalytic perspective. I will think with you about what might be the most helpful approach when I meet with you.

I have significant experience of working with children, young people and adults who have had a history of early neglect and abuse.

I am able to work with adolescents and adults who are on the autistic spectrum, have ADHD and who have specific or global learning disabilities.

I trained as an adult psychoanalytic psychotherapist at Severnside Institute of Psychotherapy. I am a member of West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy and the British Psychoanalytic Council.

I trained as a child and adolescent psychotherapist at the Birmingham Trust of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. It is a 6 year intensive training and on completion enables membership of the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP).

I am happy and experienced in providing supervision and consultation to professionals.
