Meet the team...
Hi I'm Alan.
I am an ordinary sort of person using a comprehensive approach underpinned by my professional qualifications and wide previous experiences gained in the commercial, voluntary and therapeutic realms.
My aim is to assist folk to create their own resolutions to the issues worrying them. All this coupled with a good measure of common sense and no jargon.
My style is not directive, I don't tell clients what to do. I don't judge or take sides and I work in a discreet and confidential manner.
Having previously worked in sales and marketing with several recognisable national companies I undertook a change in my career path, working in voluntary sector community development and later qualifying as a children safe guarding social worker.
This lead to me to strategic management in the voluntary sector where I qualified as a Systemic Practitioner (family therapy) at Birckbeck College, University of London, working with couples and families.
More recently I accepted an offer to become a trained and qualified Relate relationship counsellor and for the last 3 years I have seen couples, families and individuals.
Hello, I’m Sharon and I am a qualified Integrative, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. What this means for you as an individual client or as a couple is that I have a depth of training that allows me to use approaches that feel best suited to your unique situation and experience. I provide therapy to young people, adults and couples.
My approach is to work intuitively and creatively so that each session is personal to you. My training includes a BSc (Hons) Degree in counselling and a Level 5 Diploma in couples therapy with Relate. If you want to feel differently, and wish for a happier and more fulfilled life, exploring your difficulties through counselling and psychotherapy can be a powerful and effective way of bringing about positive change.
Hi, my name is Rabina, I am a qualified counsellor and Relate qualified couple counsellor, this enables me to support individuals and couples during difficult times in their life and in their relationship. I work with what you bring, I do not judge nor take sides, rather I work with helping you gain an understanding of the situation, how you respond to it and to others in your life.
My aim is to provide a safe, confidential space based on trust, and in doing so, to support you to find ways to move forward in your life.
I also work with individuals and couples from minority groups in the community, including Asian, European and LGBT.
I am bi-lingual and can provide counselling in Urdu/Punjabi.
My premises are based on Summerfield Road, in central Peterborough - 1 mile from the train station and from Queensgate with a good bus route. There is on-road parking. The premises are suitable for people with limited mobility.
Hi, I'm Kertrina and I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic counsellor who has worked with both individuals and couples, I became a counsellor following a 14-year career in psychiatric healthcare. For many years my interest has been in how our past affects us in the present and within relationships. Life experiences can leave us with a mixture of emotions and challenges. We may feel many things surrounding us, this could be relationship breakdown, family tension, child behavioural difficulties, childhood abuse, lifestyle changes or many others and this can make it difficult to know where to start.
I use an Integrative approach which means your counselling is as individual as you and your needs. I aim to offer a safe supportive space where you will comfortable to explore whatever difficulty you choose to bring. I will not judge or direct you but will help you to find your own insight that can enable you to take steps towards resolution.
