Profile
Anger, depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, workplace issues, substance dependency, low self confidence, eating, gender, medical and relationship issues and many more. Life can hold many challenges which you may feel alone and ill equipped to deal with and often its difficult to find someone to talk to confidentially.
Not only do I offer this service but I help you to explore and to express how you are feeling and how your way of being results in the quality of life you are experiencing. Sometimes just this process can be highly effective. Often it is useful to explore how past experiences have shaped how we are today. Often we carry around self limiting beliefs or thought patterns or ways of behaving which are doing us damage. It is also useful to explore different ways of being in the world.
Counselling does not come with any guarantees and is not a magic bullet. Every person that I see is unique and different. However my experience shows that the majority of people find something of use from counselling and will be changed by the experience.
I am a BACP accredited counsellor qualified since 2005 but with a long history of working with the Samaritans. I am happy to work either open ended (as many sessions as you feel you would like) of more short term if you prefer. I offer face to face counselling with adults over 17 years of age. Please see my main web site for further details.
