LOOKING FOR HELP AND SOLUTIONS? Feeling sad, anxious and stressed? Nothing works and you are overwhelmed? You made the first step towards your recovery, you are looking for professional help. However, this can be pretty confusing and ovewhelming too.

HOW TO GET THE RIGHT HELP: You know yourself the best so use this knowledge to your benefit. Most counsellors have great education, are members of a professional organisation and are keen to help. So. After all, it is your personal preference. Because it is your recovery, you who matters. It is very personal to you so it should feel right. Look at the pictures, read the info and tune to yourself. Is there a good feeling about a particular person? Do you feel you can relate to her or him? Then trust your intuition and call for an Initial Session. Most counsellors will be happy to offer this one-off session to answer all your questions and give you a chance to find out if you like sharing your worries with them. It doesn't feel right? Counsellors know that this work is very personal and sensitive so they understand if you don't quite like them and they will most likely encourage you to keep searching. There is no obligation to carry on after the first session. No need to explain anything. Make up your mind, and if she or he is not the right one, keep looking till it does feel right. 

WHY YOU FEEL THE WAY YOU DO? We as people are amazing beings who are undergoing difficulties not because there is "something wrong" with us but quite the opposite, because we are on the journey to personal growth and life of fulfilling our potential. That happens through identifying, working through and eventually being free from whatever "obstacles" there might be. If the process of feeling and living well and achieving your best is interrupted by unpleasant events or disturbing thoughts, feelings and difficulties to cope with current life, that can cause emotional, physical and psychological disharmony, stress, depression and anxiety. In this case counselling provides gentle, safe and confidential environment to look at what goes on for you in your life

WHY COUNSELLING HELPS Quite major relief and change can be achieved by addressing some difficult experiences without necessarily remembering them fully or "re-living" them. Counsellors will not give you an advice but will fully respect your views and ideas of what might be at the root of current discomfort. They will give you feedback and suggestions based on their education, training and experience. They will help you to realise and deal with difficult emotions. Based on that, you will together look at possible strategies and solutions which work best for you. Short-term work can provide solutions to rather specific current crisis and long-term work can restore and re-build your sense of self, your experience of good life and addresses deeply rooted patterns of thinking and behaviour that you might not even be conscious of.

HOW I CAN HELP: I will explore with you whatever the problem might be and we can look together for the ways ahead. Your peace, happiness and well-being can be restored as your  natural human tendency is to heal and be happy. I am a Dipl. Counsellor, I studied Therapy and Somatic Awareness of Trauma and i have Bcs in Psychology. The combination of these studies can help with problems in a relationship, work, if you feel anxious, stressed, depressed, suffering the lack of self-confidence, feeling sad and out of control of your life.

Training, qualifications & experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: I have Bcs in Psychology, I am a Graduated Counsellor in Psychosynthesis Counselling, currently working towards MA in Psychosynthesis Therapy. I have training in Somatic Awareness of Trauma. Although I have been working with adults, privately and in NHS, I also worked with teenagers for few years. I am currently working for baking sector.

The training in Somatic Awareness of Trauma enables me to work with individuals suffering PTSD and/or other levels of anxiety disorders, abuse, stress, depression, relationship and work issues. I notice anxiety and dissociation in a client due to their body language and my own physical transference. This awareness allows me to facilitate the shift of emotions and stop a client from re-experiencing trauma. In this way any difficulties can be dealt with in your own and manageable pace without getting overwhelmed. This technique can help people suffering from PTSD, Anxiety, allows to deal with abuse, and can potentially relieve depression as it can open the access to the cut off emotions that are unconscious but stored in the body.

Processing difficult emotions can help with addictions as well. Addiction can be seen as a self-defence (unconscious) mechanism to protect us from difficult feelings. Therefore being able to access, understand and deal with whatever is "hidden", is a crucial aspect of addiction recovery. (I don't provide detox but a private referral is possible should you need it. I strongly recommend counselling after detox to prevent relapse and to understand the initial cause of the addiction).

I have been working recently as the"in-house" counsellor for a Hedge Fund. The level of stress and pressure is very high and can lead to the Burnt Out Syndrome, among others. Your life can be in such high pace that any additional "life difficulties" can cause havoc. Self-awareness, giving yourself a permission to take care of yourself and the ability to identify and keep your life priorities are very important. Creating your life vision, understanding your life purpose (you are doing so and so for the sake of what), implementing a "plan of actions and small changes" can help to achive healthy balance and restore the sense of satisfaction and harmony.
