Training, qualifications & experience
I am a senior accredited therapist (MBACP Snr Accred) with British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and also on the Professional Standards Accredited Register.
I originally began working for GP practices in Yorkshire back in 1994. I was then fortunate enough to get the opportunity to work full time within the NHS for the Department of Psychology in Leeds as a Specialist Counsellor. My work was mainly with adult survivors of childhood abuse. Along the way I have now worked with a great variety of issues and accordingly I have needed to shape and shift to meet my clients needs. Using CBT, EMDR, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and an enormous amount from the school of common sense, I created a skills base I hope will meet your unique needs.
