Paula Tierney BA (Hons) MA MBACP
Hello my name is Paula and welcome.
Statically, one in four people have mental health issues in the UK and because of this mental health is gaining more, and more recognition...
I have worked in the therapeutic field for many years and offer lasting results, aswell as a compassionate service for anyone who is struggling with unresolved feelings, events or relationships in their life. Often we live with underlying emotions and misunderstand the role they play - causing symtoms that can greatly impact and disturb your life. Loss is also a key feature in therapy.
Does any of this relate to you?
You might have experinced relationship break-ups, poor family ties, financial difficulites, addiction, grief, failure, eating disorders, infertility, adultery, stress, rejection, or abandonment. Whatever the reason we can work together and explore in depth, when you are ready, your childhood and your early attachments. We can also examine how these impacted on your current relationships and life choices - because they always do.
As a child there is no emotional filter resulting in a lack of censorship regarding emotional, or verbal input - which can often lead to complex problems with self esteem along with depression and anxiety.
I offer counselling in a safe and confidential setting including:
- Short and long-term work
- Non-judgemental environment
- One-on-one therapy
- Flexible times
You are unique, and need a tailor made therapeutic interaction so you can explore, and resolve the issues you've carried and internalized. We will work at a pace that suits you. I've had many clients who have felt relief, and renewed hope as their issues decrease and the re-discovery of their lives becomes the new, fascinating focus.
What do I do next?
If you are interested it is possible to arrange an initial session. Please email, or call me and we can discuss how I work. If we both feel I am the right practioner for you , I look forward to working with you.
