What I am offering?
Over the last thirteen years I have gained valuable therapeutic experience across a wide client base whilst working for the NHS, Occupational Health departments and also MIND mental health charity. I also have experience of working as a counsellor in Higher Education and I am a BUPA recognised counsellor. I currently provide short term therapy for an IAPT service working in partnership with GP surgeries. I have a significant amount of counselling experience in different areas.
I currently work with Breast Cancer Care, supporting groups of women living with a secondary cancer diagnoses. http://www.breastcancercare.org.uk I have a vast amount of insight and knowledge in relation to the diagnoses of cancer and the physical and psychological impacts this has.
I also undertake regular supervision with a UKCP accredited Supervisor to ensure that best practice is adhered to in all of my therapeutic work.
Sometimes life can throw us challenges to deal with, that can be overwhelming to manage alone.
How I can help?
I believe counselling is a personal investment in your present and future potential, one that enables you to press pause, and step away from the pressures of life. Having time solely for you, and in partnership with me, together we can find more healthy solutions and navigate a clearer pathway to live life more fully. These demands may include anxiety, bereavement, cancer, depression, divorce, painful relationships, separation, work pressures and stress.
I am deeply committed to the work we undertake together and offer a safe confidential space for you to voice your concerns, fears and needs in life. In a constantly changing world, with increasing demands, it is becoming more common for people to feel lost, confused and overwhelmed.
I will offer warmth, compassion, hope, guidance and heightened awareness to allow you to feel more able to cope with life’s challenges with new coping strategies.
I feel privileged to be part of the counselling profession, and would feel honoured to accompany you on your own personal voyage of self-discovery.
