About me

I am an experienced therapist working in Central London and Southwark. I have worked in charities and private practice for over ten years. I specialise in couples work, relationships in crisis, sexual problems, infidelity, difficulties with intimacy, and couples who are feeling stuck. I have had good success with couples where one partner is skeptical about doing couples therapy.

While the decision to start therapy can be daunting, and one or both of you may have reservations, it marks a valuable step forward. Therapy provides a space to think about your relationship, and can help the two of you to better understand each other. I can help to provide the grounding needed to enable you to talk more openly, and to explore areas of your relationship that might feel too difficult to venture alone.

I am open to working with couples of any sexuality and colour.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at ChildLine, The Guild of Psychotherapists, and the Tavistock Couples Unit.

I attend regular seminars and workshops in line with the requirements of continuous professional development.

I am a member of the UKCP and work under its code of ethics.

I have been married for over ten years.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
