About me

My name is Paul and I offer myself as a genuine warm compassionate and effective counsellor.

I am a  fully qualified member of the British Association Of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. (BACP) and I adhere to their code of ethics.

Counselling is a unique way to help you express your thoughts and feelings to someone who is not there to judge you, keeping you in a safe environment. I dont judge i just listen carefully, stay fully present with you and reflect what you express in a way that can help you see your feelings.

This process is known as a therapeutic relationship. Once created, this unique place can help you express your inner self, helping you see things in a clearer way, thereby helping you see what needs to change and importantly how to change them.

Helping with such issues as;

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • bereavement
  • low self esteem
  • abuse
  • infact anything that brings trouble counselling can help with.

Just by talking through your problems with someone who is unbiased calm and reflective and who doesn't know you personally can have enormous benefits.

I understand it can be difficult and daunting taking that first step in seeking help when things get bad and i admire anyone who does so,  the process of change starts with a decision that things NEED to change. Counselling can help you find the tools and inner knowledge to go forward in your life and change the things that bring trouble.

It is important to find the right Counsellor who you feel comfortable with. Counselling can be difficult emotionally as you can often find yourself opening up in ways you have never felt able to before. As a Therapeutic relationship is built up it becomes a powerful and unique way in which time is allowed to explore yourself and how your relationship with life is.
Some clients feel that just one session is all they need while others may benefit from many more.With my clients it is entirely up to the them.There is no limit, after five sessions i take my clients through a review session where they look at how things may have changed for them since we began, and see where they would like to move to.

I care deeply about people and I have a natural respect for everyone I meet in life. I fully believe and trust in counselling as a way of offloading and changing.

I also believe it is everyones right whatever their issues, social background, financial state or any other factor to be able to get effective counselling. Which is why i try to be as effective and affordable as possible. I will keep you safe and allow you to work at your own pace, you will not be judged and will be listened to openly and with respect and everything you say will be treated strictly confidential.

So, if you feel you are ready to make that change but are maybe still a little unsure know that you can contact me by text, email, or phone with no obligation to take things any further.

Together we can begin the process of change for you, starting your new life in getting your needs met and living the life you deserve.

Thank you again for taking the time to read my profile i hope it has been of use to you and i wish the very best for you.

Kind regards

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Home Counselling.

In order to offer counselling to as many people I will do counselling at your home.
This would require certain conditions to be in place in order for the sessions to be most effective , on initial contact we would discuss this but a quick checklist may be useful if you are thinking you may benefit from home counselling;

.A room where we can sit comfortably for an hour, free from distractions such as pets and other family members.

An hour where we can be undisturbed.

Obviously, home is home and not a professional room where it is possible to control conditions, but it
It is possible for counselling to be effective at home.

So, ifyou feel you may feel better having counselling from home it is something we can discuss in order to find a suitable time and place to see each other in.

I offer 60 min. sessions.

First introductory session 30 minutes free.

Earnings unemplyed / in reciept of benefits £15
Employed earning up to 20K.       £20 per session
Employed earning up to 25K.       £25 per session
Employed earning up to 30K.       £30 per session.
