About me

Person centred Emotional Therapeutic Counselling is a dynamic, interactive and creative talking therapy designed to help people who are suffering from a wide range of difficulties including, anxiety, stress, relationship problems, family, bereavement, terminal illness, work related issues, bullying, financial worries, parenting problems or unresolved emotional pain from a specific event or maybe the near or distant past.

Often there appears no particular reason for life feeling so difficult. You might feel sad, angry, anxious, depressed, isolated, which in turn leads to lacking in confidence, low self-esteem, and generally feeling stuck or unable to cope.

As a counsellor I will provide you with a private, confidential, safe and compassionate space and listen to you in a way that makes you feel heard and emotionally supported, without judgement and give you the time and encouragement to explore the difficulties in your life. I will help you to unravel, express and make sense of your feelings, emotions and life using very gentle but effective techniques.

Alongside this I also aim to help you feel better about yourself by helping you to improve your self-esteem and self-worth and if you wish, look to see if you want to make changes that will empower you to have a more fulfilling positive life in the future.

As an accredited Member of the National Counselling Society and member of The Foundation for Emotional Therapeutic Counselling and you can be assured that I have gained expansive and comprehensive training, and have been subjected to the highest levels of scrutiny and evaluation.

I also subscribe to the foundation's operations, ethics, supervision and ongoing regulatory commitment to my continued professional and personal development.

​I have studied people, emotion, and behaviour for the last 15+ years and have also enjoyed an extensive career in corporate society. This role afforded me the opportunity to travel extensively and work with a wide variety of cultures and communities. I feel this real-world experience has contributed significantly to my success as a counsellor.
