Looking for someone to listen to you?
The method I trained in (Transactional Analysis) fosters an 'I'm ok, you're ok' equal relationship between client and therapist, where we work together to help you achieve your goal. You are welcome to view my notes from sessions and I'll be happy to talk through any background theory if you wish.
In general I work with adult clients who have worries over anxiety, relationships, loss and substance use, although my training does cover wider areas which do come up at times.
Any initial conversation by telephone or email is completely without obligation, please feel free to ask me about anything that concerns you, including my training, qualifications, experience or background - I won't be offended and am happy to answer any relevant question, or explain why if I'm unable to respond.
We meet in a safe, private and confidential setting to explore a difficulty you are having, distress you may be experiencing or may be a dissatisfaction with life, or loss of a sense of direction or purpose. You set the agenda, whether it be a problem you are facing now, or a traumatic experience in your past.
You can expect me to be attentive, respectful and non-judgmental, focused on you, honest and discrete. I also have full DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance and appropriate third party insurance (details on web site.)
A therapeutic relationship is co-created between client and therapist, and it may not always be possible to achieve a working bond. So you can find out if you think you will be happy working together I offer a reduced rate for our first session - we can experience each other and talk through what you want to achieve.
You can choose to meet up in room in the Brenchley Memorial Centre (next to a café and with parking outside,) or in Paddock Wood (very near to the station.) I also have access to a room in Horsmonden if necessary.
