‘Your emotions will drive the decisions you make today, and your success may depend upon your ability to understand and interpret them.’ Mary C Lamia Ph.D. Psychology Today
I work with individuals and couples. Appointments are available at short notice.
Some of the problems I have worked with are as follows, Relationships, Anxiety, Depression, Anger, Social Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Image, body dysmorphia, Phobias, Emotion regulation, Loss, Addictions, Separation, On-line problems, ADHD, ADD, OCD and personal development ( I can not list everything here so please ask if uncertain ).
Caring about you is important to me, my practice is ethical, a BACP Registered Therapist working to the BACP code of ethics and professional standards.
Our working relationship will take precedence over almost everything else. For this reason, I currently offer a reduced fee for initial consultation, this will give you the opportunity to assess if my way of working feels right for you. How we connect with each other determines some of the outcomes we will achieve when working together.
The way in which we work together will incorporate my skills and emotion-focused therapy methods. Emotion-focused therapy is an integrative humanistic therapy, supported by research evidence. The therapy integrates person-centred therapy, gestalt therapy, constructivist methods and psychodynamic ideas on relationship attachments. Some of the aims are to support you, value your decisions and offer therapeutic task interventions on whatever life experiences you wish to bring to therapy.
Psychological well-being is just as important as physical health and that is why I like to carry out this socially valuable and rewarding work. All round health is important to us all, adults, teenagers, children, elderly and society in general.
Training, qualifications & experience
