Patricia Speechley BA (Hons) MBACP
Hello, I am a Gestalt/ integrative counselling therapist from Lymington, Hampshire. I see clients in my local surrounding areas as well as Southampton and currently offer home visits on condition that privacy during the session can be assured.
There are often times when, no matter how many people we have around us offering support and advice, we can still feel very much alone. At times like these it can be helpful to talk to someone who is not immediately involved in a situation. Someone who understands the need for confidentiality and non-judgemental support. Someone who may assist you in gaining a new perspective that could help you to see things in a way which feels more manageable.
My aim is to provide a safe and supportive, therapeutic space in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings in confidence. I will work with whatever you choose to bring to each session which may vary depending on what else is going on in your life at the time.
I am pleased to be able to offer a free 45 minute session where you will have the opportunity to meet me in person, ask me any questions and together we can explore what has brought you to counselling, and how therapy may be of benefit to you.
My clinical experience includes a number of years as a Cruse bereavement volunteer which included 5 years working in a prison context providing counselling support to prisoners and staff.
I trained as a therapist as I believe that counselling should be available to everyone so as well as running my private practice I continue to volunteer as a counsellor with a charitable organisation in Southampton.
