Profile

I offer a warm compassionate approach to help you regain confidence in yourself and increase your self esteem. I offer sessions to adults from age 16 upwards.

Each of us have different experiences of life which help shape us over time. We grow to learn ways to deal with our difficulties which may no longer be helpful. Individual therapy offers you the support of a therapist who will help you to discover and understand yourself and therefore equip you recognise how you as a unique individual might approach your difficulties in a different way.

How will I make an appointment ?

If you decide that therapy is the way forward then future appointments will be made. The duration and frequency of sessions depends entirely on your situation, the difficulties you bring and your personal preference. It may be that one session is all that is needed. On the other hand some clients attend for more than a year. .

Saville Therapy Centre, College Street, Newcastle upon Tyne;situated on College Street Newcastle upon Tyne. Public transport links are excellent and there are car parks near by.

25 Claremont Crescent, Whitley Bay; situated in North Whtiley Bay. There is ample parking. Local buses from Whitley Bay town centre X8 and W2 run half hourly

Jesmond Therapy Centre, Holly Avenue Jesmond; situated just off Osborne Road about a ten minute walk from either Jesmond or West Jesmond Metro station. Buses run regularly along Osborne Road from the centre of Newcastle. There is street parking available

Experience
My experience as a Therapist spans over 20 years both in the NHS and in Private Practice, offering counselling /Psychotherapy on a wide range of issues to people experiencing difficulty in their lives
I am a Supervisor and Mentor to qualified Psychotherapists /Counsellors and students undertaking their training.
I add to my Continuing Professional Development by undertaking training each year both to update my knowledge and to add to my skills base. I am particularly interested in utilising creative methods to increase clients awareness of their difficulties.
