Pari Khan MBACP (Accred)
11 The Shrubberies
I am a person-centred counsellor accredited by the BACP and IAPT qualified to high intensity level in working with depression. I have several years' experience in the NHS primary care sector in both short and long-term counselling, seeing adult clients presenting with a wide range of issues ranging from bereavement, stress and anxiety to relationships, cultural and identity issues. I am also able to work in an integrative way by combining elements of CBT where appropriate. My additional languages are Urdu and Hindi.
How Can Counselling Help?
I believe that my role as a counsellor is to facilitate the client to explore their problems in the context of their daily lives and relationships and to deepen their understanding of themselves. By enhancing their self-awareness, making links with the past and looking at how this translates into their presenting issues, the client is then able to find their own solutions in a confidential and non-judgemental environment.

The Building and Facilities
Lily House has a bright blue door and is located opposite Marks and Spencers on George Lane. Bus stops are located right in front and South Woodford tube station is a short walk away. Parking spaces are available: Sainsbury's has 2 hours' free parking or there are several pay and display bays on George Lane itself.
There is a large and airy waiting room in the reception area where an accompanying adult may wait for you. It is advisable to organise childcare as you will have your session, which lasts for 50 minutes, by yourself and children cannot be left in the waiting room unsupervised.
Some therapy rooms are located in the basement and are accessed via a staircase.
Disabled access is provided. If you need to be seen on the ground floor, please indicate this in advance to ensure that an appropriate room is available.
