Profile
Approachable and down to earth, I am a fully qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor with over three decades of helping individuals regain their health. I have a nursing background, a firm foundation for my current practice
My personal belief informed by my psychotherapy training is that psychotherapy offers a wider and deeper understanding of the way we relate to each other and the reasons for this.
Family patterns and childhood experiences shape much of our behaviour in the present, and longer term therapy work can effect real changes in the way we make meaningful relationships in our lives. This allows us to let go of old restricting thoughts and behaviours and to live life more in tune with our true nature.
A benefit of this will be seen in happier and more rewarding relationships with those around us, and most importantly, a better and more fulfilling relationship with ourselves!
The Integrative approach to counselling and psychotherapy holds relationship as fundimental to understanding and feeling better, the importance of a positive experience of relationship as the key to regaining health. My work is informed by the concepts I have studied - Humanistic - Cognitive - Psychoanalitic. This means that our work will be very specifically tailored to meet your needs.
I work on a one to one basis with people aged 18 and above for either short term focussed work, or longer term psychotherapy.
I am available from 11.30 a.m. weekdays. I am sensitive to the fact that work might be an obstacle to you seeking help. There are evening and Saturday morning sessions available.
