Why do you need therapy/counselling?
There comes a time in all our lives when we need help. It is sometimes difficult to tell a friend or family member what is troubling us. We just need to unload to 'someone' we can trust. This is why I decided to train as a qualified counsellor/therapist. Let me be that 'someone' for you.
How can I help?
I am a registered member of the BACP with some years experience and I offer a friendly, confidential and relaxed place where you can feel comfortable enough to talk about your feelings and what is worrying you, for example, if you are experiencing feelings of anxiety or you are worried about a relationship, I am there for you.
I have experience of many different counselling/therapy approaches including Psychodynamic and CBT, but my preferred approach is the Person Centred approach, this means that I have a very positive and optimistic view of human nature. I believe that most people are essentially good, and that ultimately people know what is right for them.
So, if you want that 'someone' to be there for you, then email me, text me or give me a ring.
What should you expect from our sessions?
I practice from a therapy room in central Manningtree where parking Is available. The therapy rooms are private and comfortable
However, if you live in other areas like Mistley, or nearer to Ipswich, for example, in Brantham, Dedham, Stratford St Mary, East Bergholt, Capel St Mary, Holbrook, Great Bromley, Ardleigh etc, I am happy to see you also.
The first assessment session is at a special offer price of £20. In this session together we will see if therapy/counselling could be helpful to you.
Day time and evening appointments are available. All sessions last for 50 minutes from the agreed appointment time.
Normally we would meet and review your needs. If you decide that you would like to continue, then you would have the option to continue for as long as you need or for a fixed number of sessions. The number of sessions you need depends on your personal situation.

The first assessment session is at a special fee for this week of £20.
Further sessions are charged at £40 per session - payable by cash, or on-line banking, at the end of each session.
Counselling students and unemployed will be considered at a special reduced fee.
If you are unable to attend a pre-arranged session, we can do our best to find another mutually convenient time to meet. However, if sessions are cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, the full fee will become payable, as costs still have to be met.
So, what do clients say to me?
One client was about to leave their partner and after several sessions they turned to me and said:
"you don't know how good you are".
They are still together and the client has decided to go to college to train for a new career.
