Padraic Devlin FdSc Integrative Counselling, Individual Member BACP
You’re very welcome to my Profile Page. My name's Padraic and I'm an Integrative Counsellor. Integrative Counselling means I use a variety of methods, but everything that we try will be tailored around you, so you are very much central and equal in our journey. I have been Counselling at a GP Practice since November 2015 and opened my own Private Counselling Practice in June 2017. I work one to one with children, young people and adults from all backgrounds. Some of the areas I can help with are: anxiety, panic attacks, stress, low mood, bereavement, work worries, self-harm, sexuality, trauma, bullying, physical, mental and sexual abuse and relationship worries.
Along with the traditional therapies like CBT, I work within Psychodynamic and Humanistic Therapy and also use creative therapies like art and music. Psychodynamic focuses on our unconscious thoughts and beliefs that have developed throughout our lives. Humanistic work looks at self development and help recognise our strengths and choices.
I hire rooms in Antrim and the Dungannon area as well as Portadown and Magherafelt area. However, if you're not from these Towns but think from reading this short intro that you'd like to work with me, contact me as I can hire a room regardless of location in Northern Ireland. I also provide Online Therapy and the feedback I’ve had is that it feels safe and secure and the only difference is the individual is in a comfortable location of their choice.
If you or someone you know is experiencing difficulties, making that first call or sending that first text can be really difficult; I totally get how difficult it can be. If you're able to make that first step by contacting me, from that first contact I will provide a caring, safe, respectful and positive space for you.
I always say that we are all on a journey. If you are ready for the journey, I'm ready to walk alongside you. To talk to me about my work or to book an appointment call or text me on: 07916750174

After completing a course in Working Therapeutically with Children, I also work with symbols and sand trays which bring an extra dynamic into the work. It means that if there are times you would prefer to be creative in expressing your feelings and emotions then this can happen. These type of therapies are great with people of all ages, but especially children and young people.
