I have always been really interested in understanding what makes people cope and thrive. It is both my vocation and my passion to help others through counselling find their own voice and best path in life.
My main focus is in helping people deal with anxiety, stress and depression.
I am originally from Barcelona (Spain) where I got my Bsc in Psychology and worked at different mental health hospital and therapeutic settings. I have also lived in the USA where I got a MA in Psychology and started working as a counsellor for a small private clinic.
In Bristol I have recently completed a Diploma in Theraputic Counselling (level 5). I have learned, during two years about the theory and practice of: person-centred counselling, gestalt therapy, transactional analysis, human development theories, counselling for loss and grief, relationship counselling, group dynamics and theories, personal development and BACP ethical/legal guidelines.
I have also completed a year's placement providing counselling to students in a secondary school (Bradley Stoke) and in a health center (Knowle).
I offer counselling in Redcliffe and St.George areas. Also online counselling.
I am fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan.
I have integrative approach to counselling mostly humanistic, but adding things from CBT-REBT and Solution-focused therapy when appropriate.
