We can help you gain insight into past and present issues and also help you develop resources to cope in the future.
We deal with a wide range of issues however we specialise in relationship issues with couples and individual clients. These issues range from affairs and betrayals, separation and divorce to other issues like infertility and adoption. A wide range of subjects can affect relationships so if you are unsure then contact us and we can offer a FREE 30 min consultation prior to you making your decision to attend counselling.
We offer face to face, telephone and skype counselling to our clients along with our Therapy-to-go service for the over 75's. For more information or to book an appointment please contact us and speak to one of our Friendly team.
What happens on first contact?
After initial contact we book an assessment session (ICA) which lasts for 30 minutes and is free of charge either over the phone or face to face. This is an opportunity for introducing ourselves and deciding whether it is appropriate for us to work together. If we decide not to proceed we are able to offer referrals to colleagues that might be more suitable. It also gives you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about us and our service.
What happens in the first session?
The first session after your assessment is a discussion of the issues you are bringing to counselling. Confidentiality will be discussed and explained in more detail and we will also talk about our contract with each other to arrange dates and times of sessions. There will also be a discussion on the number of sessions and we will agree that between us. All of our sessions run on a weekly or fortnightly basis and last for 50min. at this point you can decide to continue or not.

All our Counsellors are qualified to post graduate level or above and are members of the BACP. As a requirement all our counsellors attend CPD (continual professional development) on a regular basis. For more information please contact us to discuss.

Life can be unpredictable and sometimes we can feel overwhelmed and confused.
In counselling, a therapist will listen carefully and help guide you to explore the issue you are coming with whether that be anything from Relationship issues to Anxiety/depression and ultimately you can find the best way to move forward. It can give you the opportunity to explore feelings, thoughts and behaviour or discover new perspectives.
Here at OverSouls Therapy we offer one to one counselling and also telephone and Skype counselling for anyone struggling to travel to our office.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements and find out more about our service.
