Are you feeling hurt, distant, frustrated, angry in your relationship?
Couple counselling helps improve communication, provides new skills and increases your satisfaction together. Each person, each couple, is unique. That you and your partner have relationship issues; do things in different ways, hold different opinions, and disagree can be difficult, but it is normal. Relationship and couple counselling works well when both partners can attend. Sometimes that is not possible.
Is your sex life less satisfying than you would like it to be?
It is worth remembering that most people encounter issues with sex at some point in their lives. Your concern may have been around for a long time, or perhaps it is something that has developed after a previously good sex life.
Stress, tiredness, illness, family and work pressures, and even a new baby can be contributing factors. Past experiences can also influence how you are sexually.
You may be feeling too little desire, or too much desire. Perhaps you are struggling with the mechanics of having sex, having difficulty maintaining an erection or experiencing pain on penetration. For some reason sex may not be as satisfying as you would like.
Attending to sex therapy session can feel like an enormous step to take, however, can be really helpful to address your sexual issues.

My reasons for specialising in couple counselling and psycho sexual therapy include:
- Helping couples and individuals improve communication and have more satisfying sex lives is challenging and rewarding work.
- It is important to address sexual issues in couple work. The sexual element can be what makes the couple relationship different from other relationships.
- Working with the decision making unit [the couple] can be the most effective way of helping a family.
- Concentrating on the relationship gives counselling focus.
My approach is relational, systemic, and cognitive behavioural, with reference to psychodynamic factors. I work with psychosexual issues. Please contact me on the following to find out more about the work I do:
