We will identify areas of our lives we would like to change and work towards realising our hopes for the future. The group is open to interested participants aged 16+

£60.00 for a total of 12 sessions. Facilitated by Joanne Blezard, MA

Facing the Woman in the Mirror:
A course designed to explore body image and promote a more positive sense of self

Body image is not directly related to body size and shape, it holds strong links with our self esteem. Any person of any physical type can have negative body image. The effects of poor body image can negatively effect on our everyday lives and happiness.
In this 8 week course we use creative arts and group discussions to look at the beliefs we hold about physical appearance, looking closely at the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviour. We will identify and examine those areas influenced by friends, family members, cultural standards and media. This course is for women aged 16 and over who want to explore their body image issues, looking at possible origins of negativity and sharing their beliefs within a supportive group environment.
This programme will assist you in starting to reconnect with your body and listen to what your body is really telling you, starting to consider the body as a positive entity rather than the enemy. The sessions will provide a great opportunity to learn more about yourself and promote empowerment, helping to build a level of self acceptance so you can finally face the woman in the mirror.

£120.00 for a total of 8 sessions Facilitated by Joanne Blezard, MA
