Oakwood Clinical Psychology Services offers therapeutic services to adults and children and adolescents in Lincoln and Nottingham.
We hold private practice clinics during flexible out-of-school hours including Saturdays and weekdays. We accept referrals from parents, GPs, solicitors, the local authority and young people aged 16 and over. We do not require a letter from a GP for a referral to be made.

Training, qualifications & experience
Oakwood Clinical Psychology Services is led by Dr Anna Symonds, BA (Hons), MSc, DClinPsy, CSci, AFBPsS. Anna qualified as a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Leicester. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) as well as being an Associate Fellow. She is also a Chartered Scientist .
All associate members are qualified Clinical Psychologists also registered with the HCPC.

Initial assessment of 50 mintues: £120
• 50 minute therapeutic session: £120
• School observation: £120 per hour
• Home observation: £120 per hour
• Travel to school or home: £60 per hour from base
• Supervision session 1 hour: £75
• Training session: agreed according to individual needs

Oakwood Clinical Psychology Services specialises in providing private, flexible independent clinics to provide detailed assessments and specifically tailored therapeutic interventions for a range of emotional and behaviour difficulties. We use a number of theoretical and herapeutic perspectives within interventions including cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused ideas, developmental models, attachment theory, Theraplay and narrative and systemic approaches. Treatment is specifically tailored to an individual needs and our mutually identified goals.
We also provide a consultation service, providing advice and guidance to parents, foster carers, Social Services and teachers and provide medico-legal reports and assessments and treatment for insurance providers.
We can visit schools to provide observations in the classroom and playtime, with the consent of the school and parents, and provide training to school teachers on emotional and behavioural difficulties and the impact of abuse and trauma.
We are also able to provide supervision to trainees and qualified psychologists working with young people.
