About me
I am a highly experienced, accredited BACP counsellor and CBT practitioner, based in South London and SW1. I work with adults with a wide range of issues including generalised anxiety disorder, depression, panic disorder, self esteem and identity issues, anger, bereavement, relationship issues, abuse and addiction.
Sometimes when life gets tough, we all need a little help. I offer a confidential space and a warm, friendly, supportive environment, where you feel comfortable enough to talk about the things that are worrying you. I have a flexible approach and combine ways of working from Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies to suit your individual needs. My aim is to support and encourage you to develop confidence in your own ability to help yourself.
We are all affected by our past experiences, sometimes in ways that we are unaware of. From our earliest relationships we develop beliefs that shape the way we see ourselves, others and the world. Our ways of thinking and behaving may no longer be useful or beneficial to us and may be affecting our relationships, limiting our personal growth and holding us back from reaching our true potential. I use CBT techniques to examine how thoughts affect the way we feel and behave. By becoming more aware of our thinking patterns, we can begin to recognise and replace unhelpful thoughts with healthier alternatives, moving towards a more positive, realistic way of thinking. With these new insights we are better able to make choices that are right for us and find better ways of coping.
I have considerable experience of working with bereavement but grief is not only about death. Its about about losing anything that is important to us - a relationship, dreams of having a child, our hopes and expectations, independence, a job, home or health. Although loss is choice-less, we can make choices about how we are going to deal with it. Everyone grieves differently and there is no time limit. I can guide and support you through the grieving process and help you draw on your strengths and qualities to adjust to your new reality.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
