Hello, my name is Nikki. I understand how daunting it can be to look for a counsellor. It is possible that you are feeling anxious or depressed or struggling to manage your emotions. I am glad that you are reading my profile because talking to a counsellor can be the first step towards getting the support you need.
I have an MA in Person Centred Counselling and am a fully qualified member of the BACP. Person Centred Counselling is non-directive, there are no judgements made and it is confidential. We will work at your pace, giving you the time and support to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe and accepting environment.
I have worked in a GP's practice for two years with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, eating disorders and bereavement to workplace stress. I currently work in private practice, plus one day a week for the NHS counselling staff and with Place2Be as a school based counsellor.
I offer an initial assessment to ensure you feel comfortable with your decision to work with me. We will get an idea of what you are hoping to gain from the counselling and how we will work together. Sessions are usually weekly, and either for an agreed length or open-ended, we will tailor this to best meet your needs.
I work from a discreet private practice in the centre of Chester and a second practice in a shepherd's hut outside the village of Malpas, Cheshire.
