I offer one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy to help you deal with personal issues, whatever they are and however they’re affecting you. We all have difficult times in our lives and I offer you a safe and confidential environment in which you can share and explore your concerns without being judged. My aim is to help you understand why you’re feeling the way you do and what you can do to feel better. We will also look at ways in which you might change how you behave and how you can respond to people and events so that you can live a fuller and happier life.
My main approach to counselling is integrative, built on a person-centred foundation and supplemented by the more cognitive approaches of NLP and CBT. This enables me to work effectively with traumatised clients on a short-term basis as well as doing longer term work to deal with more deeply engrained issues from earlier in life. The breadth of my training enables me to build an approach for each client tailored according to their individual needs and to prioritise work on the issues most important to them at the time.
I also offer coaching to help you identify and focus on your goals and objectives in life and how you can achieve them. If you have specific goals in mind, we’ll look directly at how best to achieve them. If you’re looking for a new direction in life, we’ll work together first to help you set long, and shorter-term goals that reflect your deep values and provide a clear focus for your efforts.
