Counselling Changes ... I am a professional qualified therapist. I provide counselling for individuals wanting to make sense of their lives and couple counselling , for couples who are struggling in their relationship. I run a small private practice from Denmead, Waterlooville and Bosham
There are times when we feel we can no longer turn to friends , the GP surgery is always busy and yet we are filled with fear and anxiety that can often be accompanied by anger and sadness, are you noticing your anxiety triggers pain and distress , or perhaps depression leaves you with little energies, maybe your relationship is in crisis , or addiction has taken control ........ then perhaps this is a time you might want to consider counselling.
I realise considering counselling is by no means an easy decision, quite often by the time you are considering therapy your trust issues have been disturbed by persons close to you or by significant others. I would like the opportunity to try to reassure you .I have been a qualified counsellor for 8 years and I have worked in the social care sector for over 20 years . I am deeply passionate about the service I offer and the people I work with. I highly value how counselling can help us see things with a deeper sense of clarity. I offer each client my full respect while staying with their process , acknowledging their stress , in addition to their strengths and resilience.
Regardless of age , gender or financial position each of us will be presented with life challenges that can often be overwhelming . It is my belief should we want to make changes then by looking at the things that make us unhappy or uncomfortable we can decide whether to work towards our goals and aspirations
Change is not easy and often making those changes can make us feel quite vulnerable , however after considering your options and wanting to change, this can be liberating , exciting , and often reassuring. Should you choose for us to work together I offer an environment where you have the space to be "you" to feel confident in speaking openly, encouraging you to set your own pace.
Through-out my years of training and during my personal journey I have acknowledged , sensitive topics however disconcerting .I believe if sensitive problems are hidden they can have an unpleasant habit of returning . It is not uncommon for people to believe they cannot share their experience's as they could be viewed as too shocking or shameful. As a counsellor I work to move away from limiting language and judgements that can trap us in our negative thought processes. Once we are open our healing process can begin , allowing a true sense of autonomy .
Counselling can take time, courage and trust in the therapist you choose to work with. I hope if you feel confident to contact me I can support you with your learning to trust , to allow our work together to challenge any patterns of behaviour that have limited your sense of well being .
