About me

Hi there, my name is Nicola and I am a qualified integrative counsellor offering private counselling in the centre of Cheltenham.

You may have reached here as you are feeling like you are struggling with a personal difficulty, and would like some help to get past this. You might also be feeling quite nervous about the thought of counselling, and what to expect.

People come to counselling for many reasons and at different times of their life. It may be that you have a relationship issue you want to work through, or perhaps you haven't been feeling right for some time and wonder if counselling may be able to help with this. As an experienced counsellor, I can listen to you and support you to explore the problem further, to help you gain a better understanding of it, and to find a way forward with the issue.

Some of the main reasons people come to counselling are due to anxiety, depression, bereavement or relationship issues. I have several years experience of working within these areas, and would be able to help you navigate these difficult issues.

Integrative Approach

It is common with people who come to counselling to feel that they are experiencing a range of problems, instead of fitting into one neat label. Working with an integrative model of counselling, I am able to listen to your individual story, and have been trained in a range of therapeutic approaches. This means I can be flexible to the range of issues you may be having and how we work with these. My Integrative training has included CBT, Psychodynamic, Person-Centred and Gestalt approaches.

My approach is mainly based on us talking through whatever it is you would like to focus on, although sometimes we may try some creative methods which can help to view things from a different perspective. However, this will be up to you to work in whatever way you feel comfortable.

Who can I work with?

I provide counselling to adults, children and young people, and people with additional needs in a safe and confidential setting in the centre of Cheltenham. Alongside my private practice, I also work for a charity providing counselling to young people, and for a healthcare provider, providing counselling to employees of large organisations. This diversity in my clients has meant that I have built up experience with a range of different issues.

When I am available?

I can offer weekday and evening appointments. To get in contact with me, please email me using the link above. I will usually respond within the same day.
