Welcome. So much for depression and anxiety, what about hope?
Clients say that my practice is warm, welcoming and focuses on listening, immediacy and where needs be practical solutions. I understand financial and time constraints and offer an early appointment system. Where necessary our work can be brief with support, exploration and suggestions of practical alternatives of more uplifting life choices and directions. I am a time-practised professional with up-to-date knowledge of local referral systems. As an academic myself I have counselled and supported hundreds of students, undergraduate and postgraduate, towards the successful completion of their studies.
Some clients find one session sufficient and most no more than six sessions, but there is no limit and all sessions can be distributed to suit your life-style. The aim is to focus on and support you through your particular current challenges so that quite simply you emerge from our conversations to live your life authentically and well.
My generic public service experience includes working for nearly twenty five years with all ages and stages aged 16 to 86. Specialisms range from critical incident debriefing, addiction and employee counselling to university teaching, training and tutoring as well as facilitating workshops and groups. I am currently a University Research Affiliate, Counsellor, Trainer and Practitioner Supervisor in University Support services.
My practice is within easy walking distance of Glasgow University.
If you would like a discussion about the service or have any questions I would be delighted to talk with you. A call does not oblige you to make a booking. Simply email or telephone at the contact below and leave your name and telephone number requesting a call or an appointment. If possible please detail your preferred days, dates and times. I aim to call back within twenty-four hours.
In the meantime, until we speak, I wish you all the very best with your journey.
