About me

I'm a BACP registered therapist with 14 years experience in working with adults, couples and young people who may be experiencing issues such as depression, stress, anger management, relationship problems, separation and divorce, affairs and betrayals, sexuality, addictions, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, sexual/domestic abuse, abuse, and feeling sad.

I support people to make positive changes so they can heal, thrive and live fulfilling and meaningful lives. Sessions take place online, telephone and outdoors in Suffolk. I offer a safe, confidential space for individuals and couples to explore, understand and work through personal issues.

Online and telephone counselling & psychotherapy is available as well as outdoor walking and talking therapy and ecotherapy.

I offer a free 15 minute introductory call which you can book here.

Choose from Zoom, Skype, Whatsapp video or by phone. Which ever feels more comfortable for you I am here to help. I will also support you to make sure all your sessions are completely confidential wherever you are.

With fourteen years of experience in the field of counselling and psychotherapy I have learned many skills to support people on their journey to wellness, personal development and spiritual growth. Whether clients need to recover from mental illness, trauma and loss or wish to improve their success in relationships or career then I can offer a bespoke approach so that each client has the freedom to work in a way which suits their individual needs.

As an integrative counsellor, I work holistically by integrating different therapy theories into my practice. In my training I have developed a skills set which includes talking therapy, solution focused therapy, behavioural therapy and therapeutic art and outdoor nature based therapy.

In our initial assessment you will have the opportunity to decide if I am able to meet your individual needs at this time.

I work with clients in Suffolk, via Zoom link and outdoors in our therapy garden or the countryside for walking therapy and nature based therapy. If you would like to work with me or ask questions about my services then please get in touch via email or visit my website. I offer a free 15 minute call which you can book easily here.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I am now on the BACP's Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (http://www.bacpregister.org.uk). This register is for therapists who have passed the new BACP Certificate of Proficiency test to show that they meet the requirements of the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.

My own life path to mental wellness and personal development has inspired me to share my findings with others so that they can enjoy the gifts which I have been given in the therapy, training and mentorship I have received. I will not judge you or try to influence you in anyway in our work together, but I will provide a safe, confidential space for you to explore your personal situation and work through issues which may be affecting your life, relationships or behaviour. I offer both long and short term therapy and will work with you at your own pace.

Ecotherapy

Outdoor walking and talking therapy and ecotherapy are now offered as a Covid safe alternative to working in a room and has many more benefits. Whether you want a normal counselling session outdoors or a more intensive ecotherapy experience, I have the skills and specialist training to ensure your outdoor therapy experience is effective in supporting your mental health and personal development needs. Please get in touch or visit my website to find out more about working with me in carefully chosen natural spaces.
