About me

Nicky is an experienced BACP registered counsellor who works with adults, couples, young people and children at her practice in Sudbury. She offers a safe, confidential space for individuals to explore, understand and work through personal issues:

Depression, Stress, Bereavement, Anger, Confusion, Relationship problems, Anxiety, Panic attacks, Trauma, PTSD, OCD,Work related stress, Major life changes, Parenting problems, Sexual/Domestic abuse, Behavioural issues, Self harm, Unresolved childhood issues, Personal development

As an integrative counsellor, I work holistically by integrating different therapy theories into my practice in order to provide a service which will suit individual needs. In my training I have developed a skills set which includes talking therapy, solution focused therapy, behavioural therapy, parent child therapy and therapeutic art and play techniques.

I will not judge you or try to influence you in anyway in our work together, but I will provide a safe, confidential space for you to explore your personal situation and work through issues which may be affecting your life, relationships or behaviour. I offer both long and short term therapy and will work with you at your own pace.

In our initial assessment you will have the opportunity to decide if I am able to meet your individual needs at this time.

Children under the age of 16 are assessed with an accompanying parent or carer, but it is ultimately the child or young person who decides if they would like to work with me. I offer younger children the opportunity to work through emotional issues, trauma or behavioural difficulties using therapeutic play and art, allowing the child to show me their internal world through symbolism and action rather than words.
