About me

Hi I'm Nicky, welcome to my profile. I WORK WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 11+, ADULTS AND COUPLES. I am a fully qualified, accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor. I believe we can all at times feel angry, sad, worried or anxious and this is perfectly normal. However, life can change quickly, creating a range of emotions that can sometimes feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate. During these times, having the opportunity to talk openly and freely with someone outside of our social network, can often help us make sense of our thoughts and feelings. Counselling can support us through difficult times and through self exploration move towards a more positive and enjoyable life.

Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed or anxious? Are you experiencing issues with your confidence? Do you feel depressed, have relationship issues or are trying to cope with loss or bereavement? Or maybe you are not at ease with your life and the direction it is going. Whatever struggles you are finding difficult, counselling offers a confidential, neutral space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.

I have been working with young people and adults for over 20 years. Initially as a Youth Worker, working with young people with a range of emotional and social difficulties, then as a Secondary School Teacher. I later trained as an Integrative Counsellor / Psychotherapist. I have extensive experience of working with anxiety and I have run a range of group sessions on anxiety, self confidence, and resilience building with adults and young people. I have also worked as a Tutor on an Accredited Degree Level Counselling Course.

Attending counselling can help people overcome many issues and pressures and gain greater control over their life. Exploring some of our thoughts, beliefs, feelings and behaviours can help us tackle a range of issues including anxiety, phobias, depression and relationship difficulties.

As an Integrative counsellor, I use a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques to relieve emotional distress and help you find solutions as soon as possible.

I offer both short term and long term therapy for YOUNG PEOPLE, ADULTS AND COUPLES. I see clients in person or online. Working online has opened up the opportunity to work nationally.

I provide supervision for counsellors.

I offer counselling from my private practices in Stratford Upon Avon and Leamington Spa.

If life is a struggle at the moment, contact me and we can work together to help resolve your issues and make life happier.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
