About me

Fully qualified, UKCP-registered psychotherapist and supervisor with 20 years' experience in private practice.

It can take a lot of energy to live with troubling thoughts, feelings and patterns. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space to talk about whatever is on your mind. I work with clients who know what they want to focus on, and those who have a feeling something isn't right and want a place to explore thoughts and feelings.

Some clients come for a few weeks or months, whilst others who want to understand deep aspects of themselves, may come for years. However long it lasts, psychotherapy requires commitment from both client and therapist; I usually suggest an initial session where we can meet and talk before deciding whether to go ahead.

I am committed to ethical, non-discriminatory practice and welcome clients of all identities, cultures, faiths and sexualities.

There are many ways of understanding the process of psychotherapy and I'm always happy to discuss the way we might work. I first trained in Transactional Analysis (T.A.) at Metanoia Institute in West London, graduating with an MSc in Psychotherapy. I have a particular interest in 'relational' perspectives; a way of exploring patterns of relationship or avoidance, that can lie beneath painful, repetitive experiences.

Originally from Wales, I have lived in London for more than twenty-five years, working first in the arts and then with an international media company. I have worked with a sexual-health charity and run depression & anxiety groups in the NHS. I currently work in private practice, supervise other psychotherapists and occaisionally teach on psychotherapy trainings.
