About me

Please note the due to the current COVID-19 situation, I am only offering online sessions at this time.

Anxiety? Depression?

What do you think and feel when you hear or read these words? The power of these words can control our lives. Do you want to take back your power?

Maybe you are looking for a private, warm and comfortable space, to talk about difficult feelings or emotions? Perhaps a place to just 'let go'? Somewhere that is peaceful and completely confidential.

I can offer you this space. Rather than the traditional 50 minutes sessions, I offer my clients full hour sessions, giving us lots of time to explore what you are experiencing.

Talking things through together, we may find new ways forward. We could gain new understanding and focus, which could offer you a new insight and path.

My counselling working involves helping people with low mood, bereavement, anxiety, depression and self-esteem issues. I have worked with people from a variety of backgrounds and beliefs. I adapt my counselling approach dependent on your needs, as everyone is unique.

I have a special interest in anxiety and depression, having had personal experience of this myself; knowing how this can affect people in different ways, more importantly, how it feels from the inside looking out.

I am aware that counselling can be daunting; trying to find someone you feel comfortable to trust. Understanding this, and the importance of the therapeutic relationship, I offer a completely free 30 minute face to face initial consultation, prior to our first therapy session. Offering you time to decide if I am the person for you.  Why not give me a call?

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and practice within the Bromley area. Counselling can be offered face-to-face or via the internet, if required.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
