Unit 3, 16A Peel Street
25a Park Square West
I am a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor with 20 years experience. Over those 20 years I have worked in a range of settings including a University, Further Education college, GP practice and a hospice where I worked with both terminally ill patients and their carers.
I offer both daytime and evening appointments in a safe and professional setting providing both short and long term work.
I work with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, anger, sexuality, self-esteem, confidence, loneliness, relationship problems, stress and search for meaning in life. I believe effective therapy is grounded in good technique, creativity, warmth, compassion, honesty and understanding.
I work with clients in the beautiful moorland village of Marsden as well as Leeds city centre. When working in Marsden I also offer outdoor therapy. My experience is that our relationship with nature can support our capacity to reflect on and integrate new experiences and new ways of being in the world.
I only charge for the initial consultation if you decide to continue working with me. Should you decide not to continue there is no charge for this session. The initial appointment is an opportunity for you to tell me what you are looking for and for both of us to make an initial assessment as to whether we think we can work together. If it seems that you would work more effectively with another therapist I will be happy to make a referral.
