I warmly welcome you to my page. You have taken a courageous first step towards improving your life satisfaction.
I know that sometimes our sense of direction and ways of coping in life can get a little out of sync and even friends or loved ones seem absent or unable to help. Sometimes they’re part of the problems we are dealing with. Whether you’re seeking a simple improvement or healing from deep wounds, within yourself and/or with others, I can help. As a psychotherapist I come into your situation with fresh eyes, an open heart, and much experience and strength to help you regain your sense of who you are.
I have over 17 years’ experience in the caring professions and a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy, and I'm a fully Accredited Psychotherapist. In our sessions, we will work together to build a safe and secure environment; where you don’t feel judged, and you have the freedom to explore which ever issue you've come to therapy for.
I have always had a passion for working with people, and I'm truly humbled by every person who makes that brave journey towards self-knowing and development in therapy.
I have wide ranging experience of issues including anxiety, depression, addictions, HIV and sexual health, stress, loneliness, and relationship and work related issues. I have specialist interests in gender and sexuality affirmative therapy; transcultural therapy; and spirituality.
Get in touch if you’re ready to start the process of change. We’ll have a commitment free initial consultation so that we have a chance to decide whether we’re the right fit for the work that you want to do.
Counselling and psychotherapy takes place at least once each week. I will listen to you in a way that is different to friends or family. My role is not to offer advice; as I trust that you have the necessary means of finding the answers within yourself. Through my questions, understanding and compassion towards you, you will gain a far deeper understanding of who you are and how the problems have come about. With that sense of certainty; you will naturally begin to make changes that will work for you in life. I encourage you to talk freely; and to take time to reflect throughout our time together. The main aim of our work is to help you to raise awareness of your feelings and areas of your life where you might be stuck.
I have a high success rate with clients who stay throughout the process. You can go on to live the life you want to live.
Training, qualifications & experience
- MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy.

- Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy.
I have also completed various counselling and psychotherapy based training to enhance my expertise. My most recent training for 2016 has been in:-
- HIV and Aids
- Attachment and child abuse
- Refugee and asylum seeking children and families.
I initially qualified as a Social Worker; where I developed an interest in John Bowlby’s theories of attachment and attachment disorders. Having spent over 10 years working with looked after children, unaccompanied asylum seeking children and refugees, young offenders, and children and families who have been severely abused and traumatised at all levels; I developed an interest in psychological therapies. I wanted to do more to help survivors. Bowlby has a great influence on my work.
Through my psychotherapy training I became fascinated by Gestalt and Existential therapy, and was privileged enough to hold an honorary contact with the NHS Healthy Gay Life - Umbrella Sexual Health service as an Associate Psychotherapist. As a requirement of my UKCP accredited training course I spent the 6 year period in Psychotherapy myself; I am therefore compassionate to your experience.
