Counselling is an opportunity to sit down with a supportive, empathic professional to think through and understand the difficulties you face in your life, enabling a positive way forward. It is an investment in yourself and your future, an emotional and revealing experience. The counselling relationship is unique; you do not have to worry about your counsellor. You can simply relax and take the time that you need to work through your problems in a safe and confidential setting.

Mosaic Counselling Service is based at The Albany Centre in St Albans city centre. We welcome diversity and are passionate about offering quality long-term counselling to adults.

Please call for further information, complete an enquiry form above, or look on our website at www.mosaiccounsellingservices.com and we will be pleased to offer you an initial assessment.

Please note that if you phone the service, phones are not always staffed and you may need to leave a voicemail. We will get back to you as quickly as we can. We are generally able to respond faster by email.

Training, qualifications & experience

Our counsellors are either trainees, currently completing their Diploma in Counselling at The Albany Centre, or qualified, working towards accreditation with BACP, which enables us to offer a reduced fee. We also have psychotherapists in our service, qualified and registered with UKCP, who are able to see those with more complex mental health needs.

The service is managed and overseen by qualified, UKCP registered psychotherapists, who complete the initial assessment and allocation process.

Our counsellors and psychotherapists are predominantly trained and supervised in the Gestalt approach.
