I hope that you find the following information useful and that my profile will give you a sense of who I am, how I work and my personal and professional values.
I am a qualified experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor / Supervisor with sixteen years experience. My approach is integrative, which means that my therapeutic "toolkit" and skills base is taken from a number of different theories of counselling and psychotherapy. I incorporate many philosophies and theoretical models into my work including MCBT, CBT, Integrative, Humanistic, Person Centred, Gestalt, T.A, Psychodynamic and Systemic.
My style is open, warm and supportive. I respect difference and therefore my approach and way of working will be tailored to responding to your individual needs. I offer long and short term individual counselling and psychotherapy in a safe confidential environment.
I have worked with children, adolescents, individuals, couples and families with the aim of helping them to enhance their lives.
My extensive experience has included working with relationship issues, which may have been impacted by life events, life stages and issues such as: generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic disorder, depression, stress, anger and anxiety.
I am also contracted within the National Health Service working as an Associate Counsellor for a local hospital within my area. In addition I have worked within charities, primary and secondary schools, and colleges, as well as working within my private practice.
My practice is in Ash Vale. I can offer day and evening appointments. Free of charge parking is available.
Often our busy lives feel overwhelming and we need to re-claim and take charge of where we are going and what we are doing.
Maintaining professional development can be a real challenge whether you are self-employed, an employee or a company director; whether you are responsible for your own professional development or for developing that of others.
I offer professionals a dedicated time for themselves to focus on their agenda, focusing on the present and future. I encourage empowerment to make significant changes that can be maintained and that will have an impact on themselves and working environment.
I can help people to:
