I undertake private practice as a Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor. I also work as a Counsellor in the NHS. I am experienced at working with both long term and short term with clients. I also offer EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services to a variety of organisations. I am an EMDR Accredited therapist. This therapiy is very effective on working with trauma.
As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I will strive to offer you a professional, secure, confidential and safe environment in which to explore and develop your inner self, as well as aid your personal growth and self awareness. I will accompany you on a journey of inner exploration, self awareness, self acceptance and growth.
Counselling is a safe place to bring difficult issues and feelings of any kind. It can therefore, sometimes, be an uncomfortable experience. However the counselling relationship enables you to process such difficulties, to discover healing and/or resolution and also to obtain a deeper understanding and acceptance of yourself.
The Counselling relationship is confidential. This is so that it can be safe for you to explore anything that you may wish. I am also registered with the data protection agency.

Supervision & training
I am a Senior BACP-accredited counsellor and have trained in the humanistic tradition as a Person-Centred therapist. I completed my counselling training with Persona (now Stirling University Counselling Service) in 2000. I have been supervising since 2005 having completed a Certificate in Person-Centred Supervision with PCT Britain. I have experience of working with counselling trainees who are engaged in Person-Centred and Integrative courses, as well as with experienced counsellors. I work in a variety of settings, including privately, with EAPs, charities and in NHS Primary Care. I have a particular interest in Trauma and Neurobiology. As a supervisor, I focus on the experience of the therapist and on the growth and development of the therapeutic ability of the supervisee through the supervision relationship.View supervision profile
