Profile
It can take a courageous person to admit something is just not right or really needs to change and to seek help and guidance. It is also worth pointing out that counselling isn’t always about ‘changing the bad stuff’ it can be used to explore your potential through personal growth.
Whatever your reason for entering into a collaborative therapeutic relationship with a counsellor the fact that you are wanting to start this journey there will be elements of self-improvement in itself.
Choosing to enter in to a counselling situation is a great step forward to improving your life but it is hard work. Often to heal the painful issues and work through what you want to understand about yourself can make you feel vulnerable. It is important that you feel comfortable and that you can trust the counsellor you choose to work with and with that in mind I always offer a free 30 minute consultation to make sure we ‘click’. You need to feel safe and connected enough so you can talk about things that you may never have spoken about but want to investigate if you feel it’s holding you back.
About me
I began my counsellor training after an accident at work meant I could not return to my previous profession. I was fortunate enough to be able to invest time in myself, taking the opportunity to evaluate my life skills and passions I went back to university and become a qualified Counsellor by gaining a Foundation Degree in Counselling Skills and Studies and a BSc (Hon) Degree in Counselling and Therapeutic Studies
I am a Person-Centred Counsellor offering a variety of online counselling services to fit in to your life in a discreet and convenient way. I use different methods of communication to suit your needs such as face to face , home visits as well as Email, Skype, MSN, and telephone. I hold a BSc (Hons) Degree in Counselling and Therapeutic Studies, and am currently working towards an MSc in Mental Health Practice.
I am registered as a BACP member and work within their stated code of practice .I am commissioned as a controller of sensitive data

During my degree I undertook practical work experiences. This included the practical experience I have gained was through voluntary work with ‘Homestart ’, an organisation that offers a befriending service to parents with preschool child, who may be struggling with parenting and life skills. I continue to volunteer as a crisis support worker at Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service offering emotional and practical support, and facilitating counselling sessions either face to face or over the telephone service to callers and visitors in crisis with suicidal tendencies. Further Information
Physical, emotional and environmental wellness all factor into one's mental health. Many issues can contribute to challenges with emotional and mental health, including loss, relationship conflicts, employment struggles and life transitions. In addition to these, some people struggle with issues from childhood or unhealthy patterns that sabotage their relationships. For many, there are also physical stressors such as chronic pain or a chemical imbalance. Counselling can help you through trying situations and support you with creating and maintaining life changing solutions
