Michelle Seabrook MA Registered MBACP(Accred)
So many counsellors but who to pick? If you've read this far, than perhaps you'd like to read more?
I have no magic wand, no crystal ball but I do offer a space to think, to talk, to be heard.
It's not always easy to ask for help, but there are times in our life when we need someone to talk to who is not a relative, partner or friend. You may need to feel properly heard and to be able to think through an issue at your own pace. You can talk to me and I will listen and work with you to help manage your difficulties.
Throughout my career I have been passionate about working with people in order for them to make changes to their life and develop a greater understanding of themselves. I have worked in a variety of settings in supporting people with a diverse range of issues. My broad range of experience means that I can tailor my approach to meet your needs.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked with people in difficulty since 1999, in a wide variety of settings.
I am an accredited, registered member of BACP. My clients needs are the primary focus of the therapy, so I can adapt the 'tools' I use to meet your needs.
I use a number of psychotherapy influences including Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioural, mindfulness skills - for example. I am competent in both long-term and short-term work and offer a 'steady presence' to my clients, working in a supportive, empathic and thoughtful manner. I value the importance of the therapeutic relationship and see this as being a key part of the healing process.
I am also a clinical supervisor - so take a look at my supervisors profile for more information.
