Michelle Mendall UKCP Registered, MBACP
I am a highly experienced psychotherapist and counsellor working with individuals in private practice based in Edgware. I also work in the charitable sector and previously worked in an NHS general practice.
My clients come to me to seek help dealing with a range of issues including anxiety and depression, low self esteem, relationship difficulties, loss and bereavement, illness, work stresses, trauma and abuse. I have trained integratively which means that I am able to provide the most appropriate form of therapy to match each of my clients' unique and individual needs.
I provide a compassionate, confidential and non-judgmental approach. By talking to someone unconnected to your life it can often provide a source of relief and comfort and help achieve a better understanding of the issues that you face. This can help you gain strength and self-awareness in order to better cope with whatever challenges you are currently facing and to feel more in control of your life.
My previous professional career was as a qualified solicitor specializing in family law. This has enhanced my work as a therapist by giving me a unique perspective on the difficulties faced in divorce and relationship breakdown by all members of the family. I also have considerable experience working with people who have child related issues including chronic illness, disability, emotional and learning difficulties and low self-esteem.
If you would like to ask any questions or find out more about what I can offer you then please either send me an email or telephone. We can then discuss if you would like to attend an initial consultation where you will have the opportunity to decide whether you feel we can work together. I offer both short-term and long term therapy.
My consulting room is in a quiet location in Edgware with free parking outside. It can be accessed by local buses and is 20 minutes walk from Edgware Station. I offer both daytime and evening sessions.
